Colt 6920
The Colt 6920 series is a line of semi-automatic AR-15 rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO made by Colt's Manufacturing Company. They are one of many model numbers and variations produced by Colt over the years and there are quite a few models in the 6920 series. Fundamentally, they're Colt's non-military variations of the M4 Carbine, though the OEM1 and OEM2 variants CAN come with slightly longer barrels.
Older models produced during the Federal Assault Weapons Ban (1994-2004) will feature law enforcement markings, e.g. "Law Enforcement" on the Colt LE6920). This has helped to make them somewhat collectible since many consider them an interesting and important part of U.S. history.
Older models seemed to have a more charcoal / "light" black finish. This appears to be different from the darker black finish that the Colt 6920 series now ships with.
